St. Anne School, 319 Franklin St., Barrington, has announced its plans for National Catholic Schools Week, Sunday through Feb. 3.
This year’s theme will focus on faith, academics and service. The week kicks off with a 9 a.m. Mass Sunday. All school families are invited to attend, with school children wearing their school uniforms. Many school families will participate during the Mass celebration to thank the parish for its ongoing support and commitment to the school. After this special celebratory Mass, any families who are interested in touring St. Anne School, meeting teachers and learning about the school are encouraged to attend the open house from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
“We want to invite families across the suburbs that are in the process of searching for a school to attend the mass and our open house,” Principal Dawn Kapka stated in a press release issued by the school. “We have a wonderful parish school that is rich in its diversity of offerings.”
St. Anne is a 2006 Blue Ribbon School.
“During the open house, we will host our annual Science Fair,” Kapka stated. “This is just one event that showcases the wonderful and creative ways we reach our school children through science.”
Along with the open house on Sunday, the school has scheduled daily themed events, with many activities taking place for students, faculty and families throughout the week.
For families interested in a private tour, additional open house hours are scheduled from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Tuesday and by appointment.
