Barrington area police blotter for Jan. 3, 2013

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Barrington area police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Barrington

THEFT

Mark A. Goodwin, 41, of 1458 S. Canal St., Chicago, was arrested Dec. 13 and charged with felony retail theft at 101 S. Northwest Highway. Goodwin was taken to Cook County bond call.

DRUGS

A 17-year-old male from Barrington Hills was charged Dec. 19 with delivery of marijuana at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St. He was taken into custody and later released. He was given a Cook County court date of Jan. 16.

DUI

James L. Perry, 54, of 274 Donlea Road in Barrington Hills, was arrested Dec. 20 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He also was cited for illegal lane use and driving too fast for conditions after being involved in an accident at Main and Lageschulte streets. Perry was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Feb. 6.

Angela M. Thomas, 55, of 26469 W. Cuba Road, Barrington, was arrested Dec. 22 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and having a blood-alcohol concentration of .08 or over. She also was cited for illegal lane use, driving without insurance, illegal transportation of alcohol and failing to notify an address change. The police report states that Thomas was taken into custody near Hart Road and Main Street. She was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Jan. 16.

Michelle L. Fleter, 35, of 201 Village Creek Drive, Lake in the Hills, was arrested Dec. 22 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. She also was cited for speeding and illegal lane use at Lake-Cook Road and Route 59. She was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Feb. 6.

TRESPASS

A 16-year-old male from Barrington was charged with criminal trespass to public land Dec. 21 at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St. He was taken into custody and later released. He was given a Cook County court date of Feb. 6.

South Barrington

DRUGS

Paul J. Thomas, 27, of 516 Carriage Drive in West Chicago, was arrested at 12:26 a.m. Dec. 23 and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The police report states that Thomas was pulled over while driving eastbound on Hassell Road near Barrington Road. He was cited for failing to use a turn signal and disobeying a traffic light. He was taken into custody and later released. Thomas was issued three traffic citations and was assigned a court date of Feb. 13.

Michael A. Thomas, 33, of 119 E. Streamwood Blvd., Streamwood, was arrested at 11:01 p.m. Dec. 28 and charged with possession of marijuana. The police report states that Thomas was stopped while driving southbound on Route 59 near Route 72 for having expired registration. He was taken into custody and later released. He was assigned a court date of Feb. 13.
