Updated: February 11, 2013 6:38AM

It will be a busy election season across the Barrington area leading up to April 9.

Six candidates are vying for three trustee positions on the Barrington Village Board, and the District 220 School Board offers six candidates with four seats up for grabs. The field gets deeper spanning Barrington’s surrounding municipalities.

In Barrington Hills, incumbent Robert G. Adboud is running for re-election as village president against Martin J. McLaughlin. There are three seats open on the Village Board with a field including incumbent Fritz Gohl as well as David Stieper, Michael Harrington, Kelly Mazeski and Colleen Konicek Hannigan.

In Lake Barrington, however, there are no contested races. Kevin Richardson will be re-elected village president and the three trustee seats will go to incumbents Christopher Mitchell and Dorothy “Connie” Schofield, as well as newcomer Karen Daulton Lange.

In North Barrington, Jackie Andrew was the only candidate to file to run for three open trustee seats.

In South Barrington, Village President Frank J. Munao is stepping down and Trustee Paula L. McCombie is running unopposed to take his place. For the Village Board, incumbents Joseph Abbate and Anthony Stagno will be joined by Therese De Serto-Cohen as three seats are available. Louis Matsuka was the only candidate to file papers for the open two-year seat.
