Police Blotter: Barrington youth, 16, charged with DUI, traffic violations

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Barrington and South Barrington police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Barrington

DUI

John A. Buckley, 45, of 32nd Street, Oklahoma City, OK, was arrested Aug. 9 and charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use at Main Street and Dundee Avenue. He was released and given a Cook County court date of Sept. 18.

A 16-year-old male from Barrington was arrested Aug. 10 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater, improper turn, improper lane use, driving without insurance and driving without a valid driver’s license at Main Street and Hager Avenue. He was released and given a Cook County court date of Sept. 18.

George F. Boles III, 45, of Kristin Circle, Schaumburg, was arrested Aug. 11 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater, speeding and driving without insurance at Route 59 and Providence Road. He was released and given a Cook County court date of Sept. 18.

Minda B. Sulak, 23, of Woodland Avenue, Barrington, was arrested Aug. 16 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater and speeding at Route 59 and Roslyn Road. Sulak was released and given a Cook County court date of Oct. 1.

South Barrington

DUI

Bryan Edmunds, 40, of 1051 S. Saddle Ridge Court, Palatine, was arrested Aug. 5 and charged with driving under the influence and driving without headlights on Route 59 near Route 72.

A police report stated that Edmunds was stopped after a police officer noticed his vehicle’s headlights were off and it was swerving. When the officer approached the vehicle, Edmunds stated he did not know where his driver’s license was, even though it was in his hand, according to the report. The officer reported that Edmunds smelled like alcohol. Edmunds refused sobriety tests and was later released, He was given a Cook County court date of Sept. 4.

There were no reports from Barrington Hills this week.
