The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Barrington, Barrington Hills and South Barrington police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
BARRINGTON
NO DRIVER’S LICENSE
Maria Reteguin-Negrete, 32, 518 Darlene Lane, No. B, Glendale Heights, was charged Sunday with driving without a driver’s license, driving without headlights, transportation of open liquor, driving without insurance and a child restraint violation. She was taken into custody on the 300 block of North Northwest Highway. Reteguin-Negrete was issued a Nov. 28 court date in Rolling Meadows.
Pedro Arroyo-Morales, 19, 1059 N. Shady Oaks Drive, Elgin, was charged Saturday with driving without a valid driver’s license, improper lane use and driving without insurance. He was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 59 and Hawthorne Lane. Arroyo-Morales was issued a Nov. 28 court date in Rolling Meadows. In the same incident, a passenger, Jose Luis Correa-Ortega, 44, 325 Shiloh Lane, Elgin was arrested Saturday on a warrant issued by DuPage County for no valid driver’s license. He was unable to produce bond for the warrent and was turned over to the custody of the DuPage County Sheriff.
Obed Rosas, 33, 108 Grant St., Barrington, was charged Oct. 5 with no valid driver’s license, disobeying a traffic control device and driving without insurance. He was taken into custody near the intersection of North Avenue and Drury Lane. Rosas was issued an Oct. 21 court date in Rolling Meadows.
RECKLESS DRIVING
Rafat A. Abdekhadi, 52, 5336 Shotkowski Drive, Hoffman Estates, was charged Oct. 6 with reckless driving and resisting a police officer. He was taken into custody at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St. Abdekhadi was issued a Nov. 17 court date in Rolling Meadows.
THEFT
A DROID cell phone was reported stolen Oct. 6 from Barrington Middle School-Prairie Campus, 40 E. Dundee Road.
Police responded to a burglary Oct. 6 at Clarke’s Bakery, 455 W. Northwest Highway, after unknown person(s) smashed a window to gain entry to the business and remove a steel box with a small amount of cash inside.
DUI
Mark D. Hauser, 50, 26774 W. Lakeridge Drive, Lake Barrington, was charged Oct. 5 with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol concentration of .08 percent or more, speeding and improper lane use. He was taken into custody near the intersection of Routes 14 and 59. Hauser was issued a Nov. 17 court date in Rolling Meadows.
Elliott Miller Knick, 24, 66 Chelsea Lane, Cary, was charged Oct. 3 with DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane use and not driving on the right side of the road. He was taken into custody at Route 14 and Kainer Road. Knick was issued an Oct. 21 court date in Rolling Meadows.
DRIVING WITH
SUSPENDED LICENSE
Kelsey Lee McGinnis, 19, 9 Plum Tree Court, Streamwood, was charged Oct. 4 with driving with a suspended driver’s license, having expired registration and possession of a cancelled suspended/revoked driver’s license. She was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 59 and Dundee Avenue. McGinnis was issued an Oct. 21 court date in Rolling Meadows.
POSSESSION OF TOBACCO BY A MINOR
A 16-year-old male from Lake Barrington was charged Oct. 4 with possession of tobacco by a minor. He was taken into custody near the intersection of Lake-Cook Road and Hough Street. He was issued a Nov. 17 court date in Rolling Meadows.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Police took a criminal damage to property report Oct. 2 on the 100 block of East Hillside Avenue, when unknown persons sprayed a substance similar to costume vampire blood on the resident’s home and property.
BARRINGTON HILLS
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
A 17-year-old female from Elgin was charged Friday with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken into custody at the dead-end of Healy Road. She was released and issued a Nov. 1 court date in Rolling Meadows.
CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
Police reports for Oct. 6 state that various street signs along Oak Knoll Road were spray-painted with graffiti.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS
Police reports for Oct. 4 state that construction materials were dumped at a vacant piece of land on the 0-99 block of Hawthorn Lane. The land was marked with No Trespassing signs.

DUI
Ever Piedra, 23, 1722 Queensbury Circle, Hoffman Estates, was charged Sunday with DUI-alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane use. He was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 72 and Bartlett Road. Piedra was issued a Nov. 23 court date in Rolling Meadows.
Albert Wdziekonski, 46, 47 E. Oak St., Lake in the Hills, was charged Sunday with DUI-alcohol. He was taken into custody near the intersection of Route 62 and Palatine Road. Wdziekonski was issued a Nov. 7 court date in Rolling Meadows.
Steven D. Sherman, 47, 255 N. Valley Road, Barrington, was charged Oct. 6 with DUI, DUI with a blood-alcohol level of .08 percent or more and having expired plates. He was taken into custody near the intersection of Barrington Road and Route 62. Sherman was issued a Nov. 23 court date in Rolling Meadows.
Joann Bosnos, 21, 3 Stoneridge Drive, South Barrington, was charged Oct. 4 with DUI-alcohol, DUI-alcohol with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or more, improper lane use and having expired plates. Bosnos was taken into custody near the intersection of Penny Road and Route 62. She was issued an Oct. 20 court date in Rolling Meadows.
PUBLIC INDECENCY
Robert C. Meyers, 31, 100 Coral Lane, Wheeling, and Robert J. Tomczyk, 23, 1612 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights, were charged Oct. 3 with public indecency. They were taken into custody at a parking lot on the 100 block of Studio Drive. Both were issued Oct. 20 court dates in Rolling Meadows.
DOMESTIC BATTERY
Mark W. Harris, 46, 900 Notis Court, Schaumburg, was charged Oct. 2 with domestic battery. He was taken into custody on the 0-99 block of Beechnut Drive. Harris was transported to the Hoffman Estates Police Department to await a bond hearing.
THEFT
It was reported Sept. 30 that 80 pairs of yoga panties were taken from Victoria’s Secret, 100 W. Higgins Road. The panties are valued at $10.50 each.
It was reported Oct. 4 that a Grapewine Decanter, valued at $169.99, was taken from Coopers Hawk Restaurant, 100 W. Higgins Road.
It was reported Friday that 35 pairs of panties, valued at $367.50, were taken from Victoria’s Secret, 100 W. Higgins Road, on Sept. 2, by the same female suspects as in an Aug. 24 incident.
POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
Paul A. Di Crescenzo, 32, 6923 W. 64th St., Chicago, was charged Sept. 29 with a local ordinance violation for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody near the intersection of Barrington Road and Lakewood Boulevard. Di Crescenzo was issued a Nov. 2 court date at the South Barrington Village Hall.
