Barrington arts summit benefits Gigi’s Playhouse

Briere Barbeau will be among the dancers from Barrington’s Midwest Dance Collective performing under the direction of Ellen Werksman in collaboration with Inaside Chicago Dance, in “The Youth Summit for the Arts,” an event that will bring young artists together for a cause. The performance, a benefit for Gigi’s Playhouse, which supports Down Syndrome Awareness, will include singers, dancers and actors from more than15 area arts organizations representing Palatine, Barrington, Chicago, Mount Prospect, Mundelein, Schaumburg, Rockford, Elgin, Bartlett and other communities. The program takes place at 5 p.m. Jan. 29 at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St., Barrington.
