A bored young girl named Zoe slips into a magical world in Cirque du Soleil’s “Quidam.” The spectacle, which has toured five contents since its 1996 debut, comes to the Sears Centre Arena, 5333 Prairie Stone Pkwy., Hoffman Estates, for eight performances, Wednesday, Feb. 8-Sunday, Feb. 12.

Performer Adrienn Banhegyi said that Zoe “is on a very special journey. As she’s being neglected by her parents, she’s looking for adventure and fun in her life.”

Although the characters Zoe meets in Quidam are real, “they carry some magical feelings,” Banhegyi said. The cast includes 52 world-class acrobats, musicians and singers. There are breathtaking aerial performances and amazing balancing acts. Banhegyi is one of 20 cast members in a Skipping Ropes number.

Banhegyi said the lesson of the show is that, “We should take care of each other, not just pass by every day.”

Tickets are $35-$100.
