The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Barrington, Barrington Hills and South Barrington police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Barrington

A manager at CVS, 101 S. Northwest Highway, reported Jan. 18 that an employee was verbally aggressive, arguing and making threats.

South Barrington

BATTERY

On Jan. 19, an employee of a clothing store on the 100 block of West Higgins Road reported being hit on the head from behind and a white “goop-like” material being thrown at her while exiting the stock room. The employee said the “goop-like” material also damaged $500 of merchandise. The report also noted that after this incident, the store received a call from an unknown person asking how much money was in the store’s registers.

THREATS

On Friday, staff from Willow Creek Community Church, 67 E. Algonquin Road, reported receiving 11 phone calls from an unknown male who made statements about dissatisfaction with the church and that he wanted to blow the church up. The caller allegedly indicated he had chemistry knowledge and could make an explosive device and plant it at the church. Following the police visit, the church received four more calls from the same telephone number, but staff did not answer.

Barrington Hills

DUI

Jeffrey C. Robertson, 26, 119 Oaklead Road, Lake in the Hills, was charged Jan. 18 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance, failure to yield at a stop sign and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
