Three Barrington High School music students participated in the 2011 All-State Music Festival that was held in Peoria over the weekend. The students were selected as a result of their audition and placement at the top of their ensembles at the IMEA District VII Festival held in November. Acceptance is highly selective and is one of the highest honors a student musician can receive in the state of Illinois.
The three orchestra students selected were: Stephanie Block, Ethan Fang and Jihoon Kim.
The students rehearsed with students from the other eight districts in the state prior to the final concerts that were held on Saturday in the Peoria Civic Center.
