BARRINGTON — Barrington resident Angela LeMay was named a Harper College Distinguished Alumni last month.

LeMay, who started taking classes at Harper at 16 years old, later graduated summa cum laude from North Park University.

While at Harper, LeMay took French classes while studying business. After landing a job as a flight attendant, LeMay often traveled to France. Today, she and her husband travel to France at least once a year.

Since 2008, LeMay has served as chief financial officer for Refurbished Office Environment, a company that focuses on manufacturing office furniture by recycling, refurbishing and other sustainable alternative methods.

LeMay runs the company with her husband, and they have grown to nearly $50 million in sales a year.
