Barrington area police blotter for Nov. 20 - 26, 2012

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Barrington area police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
South Barrington
DUI
Donald E. Kush, 50, of 1830 Kelley Drive in Hoffman Estates, was arrested Nov. 14 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Higgins Road near Bartlett Road. The police report states that an officer pulled Kush over after he was observed running a red light. The officer reported smelling alcohol, the report states, and Kush failed subsequent field sobriety tests. He was taken into custody, and released pending a court date of Dec. 17 in Cook County.
Barrington Hills
BURGLARY
Approximately 20 used steel tire wheels were reported stolen Nov. 11 on the 2000 block of Algonquin Road. The value of the property is yet to be determined.
DUI
Bradford Churchill, 34, of 1665 Manhatas Trail in Algonquin, was arrested Nov. 20 at Route 62 and Autumn Trail and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He also was cited for driving without insurance and illegal lane use. Churchill was taken into custody, and released pending a Dec. 6 court date in Cook County.
Barrington
BATTERY
Robert S. Vinczen, 48, of 220 Driftwood Trail in Barrington, was arrested Nov. 15 and charged with battery at 128 Wool St. The police report states that Vinczen was released on bond and given a court date of Dec. 27 in Cook County.
DOMESTIC BATTERY
Nestor Ramirez, 36, of 519 E. Main St., Barrington, was arrested at his residence Nov. 18 and charged with domestic battery. The police report states that Ramirez was brought to Cook County bond call and issued a $5,000 D-bond.
DUI
Kevin S. Botha, 38, of 250 Rosehall Drive in Lake Zurich, was arrested Nov. 22 at Route 59 near Pine Street and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He also was cited for speeding and driving without insurance. The police report states that Botha was released on bond and given a court date of Dec. 11 in Cook County.
