Barrington event planner, Christina Currie Events, nominated for award

Special Events Industry announced the nominees for its 2012 Gala Awards, the oldest and most prestigious award in the event industry.
Barrington’s Christina Currie Events, Inc. was nominated for Best Wedding: Budget under $1000 per guest.
The nominees were chosen by current and former members of the magazine’s Advisory Board from a pool of entries representing event experts based in Canada, China, Columbia, Denmark, Germany, India, Ireland, Israel, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States. The Galas have been awarded since 1986.
“We’re so thrilled to receive recognition for the outdoor wedding we planned for a local Barrington couple!” said Christina Currie, founder of Christina Currie Events. “The outdoor wedding took place at a private residence, in Inverness. We had a challenge with Mother Nature when Hurricane Irene decided to swoop over the wedding. However with our fabulous team of vendors and well-thought-out plan, we were able to manage the circumstances and our bride and groom exchanged their vows in front of 230 guests.”
