Village president Darch to run unopposed for re-election

Barrington Village President Karen Darch will be re-elected to the village’s top elected position as the filing deadline closed at 5 p.m. Wednesday without any opposition.

Six residents did file candidacy for three trustee positions, including Pete Douglas, JoAnn Fletcher, Michael Kozel, James Magnanenzi, Sue Padula and Tim Roberts.

Adam Frazier will run opposed for village clerk.

The election is April 9.
