Barrington area police blotter for Feb. 12 - Feb. 18, 2013

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Barrington area police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Barrington

DUI

Shaun K. Brog, 27, of 279 South Fairview Circle, Palatine, was arrested Feb. 10 and charged with driving under the influence at Hough Street and Lake-Cook Road. Brog also was cited for illegal lane use, speeding, an illegal turn, driving with no tail lights and failing to notify Secretary of State of address change. Brog was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of March 14.

Catherine M. Saville, 36, of 737 Weston Drive, Crystal Lake, was arrested Feb. 14 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at Route 14 and Lake Zurich Road. She also was cited for driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater and speeding. She was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of April 3.

Daniel J. Bialas, 21, of 4311 Cottonwood Trail, Hoffman Estates, was arrested Feb. 15 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater after allegedly being involved in an accident at Route 14 and Hough Street. He was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of April 3.

Edward Grelle, 44, of 251 Woodbine Place, North Barrington, was arrested Feb. 16 and charged with driving under the influence. He also was cited for speeding at Route 59 and Columbus Drive. He was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of March 27.

Timothy Rawson, 39, of 1020 Prairie View Court, Naperville, was arrested Feb. 16 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater. He also was cited for speeding and driving with no insurance at Main Street and Barrington Point Road. He was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of March 14.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Donnell Bowles, 18, of 362 Eastern Ave., Barrington, was charged Feb. 11 with disorderly conduct and being under the influence of drugs in public at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St. He was released and given a Cook County court date of March 27.

BATTERY

A 17-year-old male from Hoffman Estates was charged Feb. 11 with battery at Barrington High School, 616 W. Main St. He was released and given a Cook County court date of March 27.

South Barrington

DUI

Erik Hernandez, 29, of 1300 Wolff Ave., Elgin, was arrested Feb. 13 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater. He also was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol. According to a police report, officers responded to a call about a man drinking alcohol at the AMC movie theater at 175 Studio Drive. Police instructed the man to call for a ride home, a report states, but the man proceeded to get in the car and attempt to drive out of the parking lot. Police stopped him and found an open bottle of alcohol on the passengers seat, police said. Hernandez was released on bond and given a Cook County Court date of March 18.
