The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Barrington area police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Brian E. Kuhns, 54, of 24221 W. Mary Dale Ave., Lake Zurich, was arrested Feb. 23 and charged with driving under the influence. He also was cited for illegal lane use and speeding after a traffic stop at Ela Road and Route 14. He was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of March 14.

He also was cited illegal transportation of alcohol and operating a vehicle with expired registration after a traffic stop on Barrington Road near Route 62. According to a police report, Lander was stopped after an officer ran a registration check and found Lander’s registration had expired. Lander failed subsequent field sobriety tests and a powder substance that Lander allegedly admitted was cocaine was found, the report states. Lander was taken to Cook County Jail for bond call.
Dane M. McElroy, 32, of 1559 Maple Lane, Elgin; Michael G. Garro, 24, of 1450 Cooper Road, Hoffman Estates; and Alexandra J. Garro, 26, of 1450 Cooper Road, Hoffman Estates, were arrested Feb. 22 and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 175 Studio Drive. According to a police report, an officer approached the three subjects after observing smoke emitting from a vehicle in the movie theater parking lot. A subsequent search allegedly found three small bags containing marijuana and a glass pipe with marijuana residue, the police report stated. All three subjects were later released and given a court date of April 2.
